Every figure on this site comes from a commercial-safe open dataset. Each stored value carries its source and licence — and the data licence is separate from this site's MIT-licensed code. Nothing here is scraped from a restricted feed.

How it works
- Each figure is the latest reported year for that indicator; IMF series include projections, drawn as dashed segments.
- Long-run GDP per capita uses the Maddison Project's real series in 2011 international dollars, and never mixes incompatible units on one axis.
- Data is ingested on a schedule into an edge database and served through a read-through cache, so public pages rarely touch the database directly.
- Only commercial-safe sources are served. Restricted feeds — disaster databases, market data and the like — are deliberately excluded.
